As the vehicle moves closer to an obstacle, the warning tone becomes more frequent. As a result, you receive a clear indication of the reducing distance and can manoeuvre with greater confidence.
The sensors match the vehicle colour, helping them blend neatly into the rear bumper. In addition, the system activates automatically when you select reverse gear, so you do not need to operate a separate switch.

How It Works
When you select reverse gear, the system automatically activates the four ultrasonic sensors across the rear bumper. The sensors then scan the area behind the Gallardo and measure the distance to nearby obstacles.
If the system detects an object, the interior buzzer begins producing an audible warning. Initially, the tone sounds slowly while the obstacle remains further away. However, as the vehicle moves closer, the warning becomes more frequent.
Consequently, the changing tone helps you judge the remaining distance without requiring an additional display. Once you move out of reverse, the system switches off automatically.
