At the time of writing it is winter here in Melbourne, and lately there have been some cold zero degree mornings, with top temperatures only getting to around 9 degrees celsius on a couple of days recently. The snow has been falling on the mountains (yes we have been watching closely) and it’s nice to think that time spent out and about in the cold, windy, and wet weather will be rewarded each time you return to your car with comfortable, relaxing and warming seats. You know, that radiating warmth that you might get by putting a thick fleecy jacket on, fresh out of the dryer. Unless of course you don’t have integrated seat heating!
This 2015 Audi A6 4G has been fitted with our integrated heated seat solution with factory controls. In this case, the genuine controls are built into the climate control system, and have low, medium and high settings, indicated by the LED’s in the seat heating switches. The heated seats will automatically set themselves back to the medium setting after they have reached their peak temperature on the high setting.
We have taken some care to show the leather seats as it is an important but often forgotten factor when considering whether to have seat heating installed. We have a specialist upholsterer who integrates the heating elements into the seats, and who also ensures that the leather is placed tightly and securely back onto the seat without damage. If you have a look closely at the seats in the video, the leather is perfectly placed with no evidence whatsoever that the seats have ever been disassembled.
In terms of the electronics, we have (as always) added our special Autofidelity touch, with complete factory switching, and completely integrated wiring, so there is really nothing to see, other than the factory switches, and some beautifully finished leather seats.
