We now provide 2 main solutions for rear camera in Audi Q5 (8R).
We have an aftermarket solution which is suitable for all vehicles, and compatible with Audi MMI 3G, Audi MMI 3G+, Concert and Symphony radio systems. Actually any Australian delivered Q5 up to current models (2015) can have one of these systems, and future models should also continue to be compatible. MMI 2G systems are also compatible but do not include the full functionality of the other systems. Audi A4(B8/8K) and Audi A5 (8T) models are also much the same.
We also a have rear camera solution which utilises genuine parts. This solution is only compatible with vehicles which have MMI systems. MMI 3G and MMI 3G+ systems are all compatible, and MMI 2G systems can also have the genuine part option, although in many cases the MMI control head will need to be changed as well, which can be done at an additional cost.
Our integrated aftermarket rear view camera system for Audi Q5 now includes Dynamic guidelines which turn with your steering position, and the ability to display optical sensors for vehicles which have Audi Parking System Plus, which is the Audi front and rear parking sensor system. The functionality is much the same as the genuine system, however we would normally recommend to use genuine parts if you have MMI 3G or MMI 3G+, and aftermarket if you have Concert or Symphony radio.
The vehicle shown in the video has the Audi Concert Radio and also has our Autofidelity Integrated touch screen navigation system.
